HTC said the new One would help swing a profit, and it did
The financials coming out of HTC for their last quarter were quite disappointing but the company remained positive and was quite confident in its newly launched HTC One M8. They claimed that they were pretty much confident that their latest flagship smartphone, a predecessor for the HTC One, would cover up for all their losses. And to everyone’s surprise, the HTC One M8 released with a bang and received tons of great reviews for its performance and design. We have got the unaudited numbers now and they show the boast which HTC just promised.
HTC has NT$2.8 billion in its profits and a whopping NT$65 billion in revenue which is close to the sales amount of last year and this has quite clearly covered up for last quarter’s losses. Though we agree that it is a far cry from the Samsung world but it is still a pretty good effort and certainly a great news for the company. After seeing the success of the HTC One M8, the company decided to go for the cheaper plastic version as well which is known as the HTC M8 Ace and also a cut down version called HTC mini.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
