Motorola, HTC and Google devices confirmed to get the update

Android L has kicked off with a great start and though it is currently only on the developer stage, it is increasingly becoming the target of many companies which have already announced they will be bringing it to their devices. Most of the views support the idea that Moto X and Moto G are definitely going to get the Android L because Motorola devices usually get very timely updates and are purely Android. As far as the entry level Moto E is concerned, the customer support of Motorola smartphones has got no information for that one.

However, we don’t have any credibility to trust this latest piece of information because quite frankly we don’t think that the customer support has got this kind of information. Whether an update will be brought to the phone or not is purely a high level decision and is made after all in-house developers have looked into and evaluated the entire scenario.

On the other hand, HTC has made an announcement which states that the update will be rolled out within 90 days of receiving the source code from Google. Nexus devices are also most likely to get the update but it will be in Fall.
