He was a fundamental part of the Harry Potter movie franchise. Dave Legeno died recently of a heat stroke while hiking.
Not only was Dave Legeno a Mixed Martial Arts aficionado, he was a critical part of the Harry Potter movie series. He was a rough and tough man who had the guts and glory to shine in physical action on screen.
He was out in the Great Outdoors hiking along when the temperature soared beyond his capacity to endure and so he succumbed to an attack of heat stroke.
According to an autopsy the reason behind his death was the high temperature which could actually have reached 100 degrees Celsius in Death Valley, California, where he was hiking.
The Inyo County Sheriff's Department (in CA) told TMZ that "Legeno died of heat related issues ... and may have been dead for 3-4 days before his body was discovered."
Dave Legeno had the role of the werewolf character Fenrir Greyback in the movie. His body was found in a dehydrated condition and there was no sign of a second party which might have hastened his end.
It was just Dave against the elements. And the elements seem to have won against the physically fit man. He was in his 50s at the moment of death.
The temperatures fluctuate from extremely high in the daytime to very low at night. Such is often the condition in the deserts and wastelands in the world.
Dave hailed from London. He worked as a bouncer in a club and was also a wrestler for a brief period of time. Then he started taking boxing lessons and pretty soon made his first debut in the movies.
Dave has a 20-year-old daughter Wendy. According to the Mirror, "he began his professional MMA career at the age of 42, and was nicknamed The Enforcer."
He leaves behind him a grown up daughter named Wendy. Scores of fans and friends not to mention family members left behind messages on the social websites praising Dave. He was a softhearted man who had the ability to play the role of a werewolf on screen.
Now that took effort and only a wonderful person like Dave could gather the courage to portray evil on screen while being such a kind and good person deep down inside. May his soul rest in peace!
