Apple's tablet shipments for year 2014 will be roughly the same as last year
All the recent reports we have received on Apple’s tablet line have been revolving around the iPad Mini 3 as well as the 12.9-inch iPad. If we look at what to expect from the smaller of these two models, then it is most likely that the iPad Mini 3 might borrow the “Mini Air” moniker.

According to freports flowing in from the Chinese media, we have learned that the most attractive aspect of the tablet is going to be its thinness. As compared to the previous model, this device is going to be 30 percent thinner. One of the publications also suggests that the iPad Air mini is going to be powered by the new A8 processor which is currently manufactured by TSMC.
As far as the larger 12.9 inch model is concerned, we have learned some things from David Hsieh -VP of the Greater China Market. While speaking of the tablet line at DisplaySearch yesterday, David stated that the tablet shipments from Apple for the year 2014 are going to be more or less the same as they were last year. This stagnant position of tablets for Apple is caused by the increasing competition from Samsung tablets which are catering to all sorts or market segments and have a wide variety of price ranges.
