The handsome and fit football star, Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on top of the world. He endorsed a technological product and also appeared in an underwear ad recently.
Cristiano Ronaldo endorsed a product in Japan which took things a little too far. Since his face is so marketable, he was the ideal man for promoting the product.
It was a body blade of sorts which exercised the facial muscles and was thus an essential accessory for putting a happy smile on your face.
Termed Facial Fitness Pao, the health and wellness gadget was the brainchild of the Japanese MTG Company. You actually champ down on it with your teeth and then start vibrating it back and forth.
Thus it automatically exercises the muscles around your mouth. Ronaldo appeared to be convinced of the qualities of the product. Watch the 30-second ad below.
According to WSJ, "Ronaldo’s commercial was made available Saturday in Japan. Note that while the superstar player appears impressed with the gear, he never actually puts the Facial Fitness Pao in his mouth during the 30-second clip."
The Hannibal Lecter style mask he wore for the company’s product made him look rather odd. He also posted a pic of him wearing the mask on his Instagram. See it below.
But the company’s representatives insist that Ronaldo was the most suitable person to pull of the ad for the product.
“We thought Cristiano Ronaldo was the only person who can represent our product,” MTG President and CEO Tsuyoshi Matsushita told JapanTimes.
Cristiano’s visit to Japan proved to be very entertaining and educational too. 29-year-old remarked that it was an absolutely fantastic country and had fantastic people.
“I think Japan is a fantastic country, fantastic people,” he said. “I had the opportunity to be here before and I know the fans here. They are amazing.”
This is Ronaldo's second visit to Japan. He first came to Japan for the 2008 Club World Cup that was held in Yokohama. He played for Manchester United and his team won the tournament.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to play, in my opinion, for the best clubs in the world, which are Manchester and now the biggest club in the world, Real Madrid,” he said.
“So it’s fantastic for me to be happy with all the achievements and what I’ve done in my career. I hope to play more, six, seven years.”
Ronaldo even partook in a Japanese tea ceremony. As he sipped the green stuff, it was a moment of peace and serenity for Ronaldo who is more inured to the energetic and active stuff on the soccer field.
He truly found the Far Eastern nation to be a wonderful example of delightful experiences and new stuff that he never knew existed.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo was kept busy making underwear ads which appeared in seven cities around the globe. These happen to be New York, Berlin, Lisbon, Paris, Milan, Waterloo and Madrid.
