The all-new images of the rear shell of Apple's upcoming iPhone 6 has arrived on the scene that show some salient features of the smartphone including new scratch-resistant Apple logo.
The backside of the iPhone 6 was photographed again and some of the prominent objects of interest it displayed were discussed recently. Luxury modified iPhone vendor Feld & Volk (via MacRumors) has posted some new images of the rear shell of upcoming iPhone 6 on its Instagram page.
A month ago this foray into the construction (and deconstruction) of this device took place and it yielded quite a cornucopia of exciting stuff that would fascinate the nerds, tech freaks and geeks out there.
A polished and whole 4.7 inch iPhone 6 rear shell has entered into the hands of some critics who explained the ins and outs of its metallic terrain.
Some of the components have never been revealed before. The niches for the volume buttons have been deepened so as to be imperceptible. This is quite a good change and will undoubtedly make the iPhone easier to use.
As for the inlaid Apple logo, it seems to be made of a special alloy or similar material. It resembles the original Apple gadgets. Moreover, it is scratchproof.
Feld & Volk says "the embedded logo is very similar to that seen on the original iPhone, but says it is made of "very extraordinary" scratch-resistant metal that it speculates could be a Liquidmetal alloy, although there is no specific evidence supporting that speculation."
The outer camera ring is a mere 6.66 mm in diameter. It clasps onto the rear in a very neat and elegant manner. There were rumors that the iPhone 6 would have a slightly bulging and protuberant camera, but these turned out to be nothing but wild propaganda signs. The camera is embedded into the very structure of the backside of the iPhone.
According to MacRumors, ""Leaked design drawings and physical mockups have indicated that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 may see a protruding rear camera as seen on the current iPod touch, but so far those leaks have all pointed to a flush camera for the smaller 4.7-inch model, so it remains to be seen whether this camera ring does indeed pair with the rear shell of the 4.7-inch model."
And last but not least there is a lengthy cable that goes along with the smartphone. There is some speculation as to the exact purpose of the cable but it appears to be the case that it links the home button. The early days of September will be a time of high excitement for Apple as it holds its seminars and display shows.
The iPhone 6 is reportedly slated to appear in all its riveting glory on Sepmber 9. However, it is not yet clear whether both versions of iPhone 6, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, will launch simultaneously or not.
Till that date all we can do is to wait with bated breath and eager eyes. Apple has never let its consumer base down and so this time around too it will surely meet the expectations of each and every techno-tyke among us.
