The concept of mobile phone unlocking had been a serious matter in the US, even though it gained a lot of lenience in the UK and other parts of the world. However, things have changed for the better now and the bill which made this act legal has been signed by President Obama himself and has been made into a law. This has left the gate open for the unlocked phones and T-Mobile is the first one to take an initiative on this one.
One of the largest cellular service provider in the US has brought mass unlocking to the US citizens with its new ‘Device Unlock’ app which has just released. The app is absolutely free and is already available for download from the Play Store. However, we will advise you not to get so happy and cheery at this new app’s prospect because there are a few bumps here. First of all the disappointments, the app is only going to lock one type of a phone. You are only lucky enough if you are planning to unlock the Samsung Galaxy Avant and if not, then you will just have to wait a bit longer.
It is quite annoying and we want to know why this app can’t work with other phones too but we are suspecting that a new or updated version would soon be available. In case you are going to unlock your Galaxy Avant, you will be given two options; whether to unlock the phone permanently or temporarily. A temporary unlock is for those users who are planning to travel abroad and woul like to shift to another SIM for just that time period.
