MICHAEL Douglas’s ex has accused his current wife Catherine Zeta Jones of loving fame and lacking culture.
In what seems more of a thinly and nicely veiled attack, Michael Douglas’s ex-wife Diandra Douglas, attacked Catherine Zeta Jones from her home in Majorca which she still jointly owns with her ex-husband. Catherine had been back with Douglas after a brief separation and there had been rumors that she had tried to buy her 50 per cent share of the Spanish villa. However, when Diandra Douglas was asked about this, she retorted saying that there was absolutely no reason for Catherine to buy that property since she doesn’t even speak Spanish and know nothing of the culture.
“It’s not true. Sometimes people say things without the slightest proof. Why would someone who doesn’t speak Spanish or the local Majorcan language or knows nothing about this culture want a house here? She doesn’t even come here much.”
While being interviewed, Diandra Douglas was asked why she was less prominent as compared to ex husband Michael Douglas and Miss Zeta Jones to which she responded: “That's because I don't believe in showing off. I'm proud to be able to say that I've never turned my private life into showbusiness.” Diandra and Douglas stayed in marriage for 18 years during which they faced many troubles. She also revealed about her son getting jailed for a couple of drug offences. She had also been battling in court for half Michael Douglas’s salary and royalties from the 2010 Wall Street sequel Wall Street 2 but lost after lawyers suggested to put the claims down since Douglas had cancer.
