Star of Upcoming Fall NBC's 'Laura' Debra Messing To Hand Out Emmy Awards
The former star of 'Will and Grace,' Debra Messing, along with Andy Samberg, and Viola Davis have been announced as the second round of presenters for the 66th annual Emmy Awards show.
Other actors who were invited to hand out awards during the show include, Allison Janney, star of the CBS sitcom “Mom,” Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele from Comedy Central's “Key & Peele,” “Elementary” star Lucy Liu.
This year's Emmys ceremony will be telecast live on Monday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC, with Seth Meyers hosting.
Messing will be playing a respected homicide detective in this falls upcoming series of 'The Mysteries of Laura, who is trying to juggle her demanding career with her duties as a divorced single mom to rambunctious twin boys.
Gilles Marini will guest star in a spot on the new 'Laura' TV series, playing a fashion designer with connections to a murder victim who ends up reinventing everyday mom Laura into a runway-ready fashion plate. The episode will air in October.
'The Mysteries of Laura' premieres with a sneak preview on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 8/7c on NBC.
