19 Kids & Counting reality TV show celebrated another engagement. Jessa Duggar agrees to wed to Ben Seewald on August 14th.
Jessa Duggar is a star of hit reality TV show 19 Kids & Counting which will air another new season premier on September 2, 2014 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
Jessa Duggar is the third daughter of Jim Bob who got engaged to his boyfriend of one year, Ben Seewald on Thursday night i.e. August 14 in Springdale, Arkansas.
"We are so blessed to be engaged! God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun!" the happy couple said in a statement. "We are thrilled to see what the future holds – especially the wedding bells!"
21-year-old Jessa Duggar started dating 19-year-old Ben Seewald last year. But the couple did not even hold hands. They decided to hold each other’s hand on their engagement day. And so they did.
"We do have a lot in common," she told PEOPLE. "He is a mellow personality, very romantic and very sweet. I am very cut and dried. And my sisters are coaching me on sweet romantic things to say."
The couple also decided to not kiss each other until the day of their wedding. And the newly engaged couple also wants to have a big family like Duggar's parents have. Seewald also has 6 siblings.
Ben is the eldest son of the 7 kids of her parents. And the couple has not decided the number of kids they will have in the future. They leave it on God's will. And they even wanted to adopt kids alongside having their own.
"We are talking about our goals and even just like future, with family, we both talked about adoptions," Duggar said. "We are open to having children and both want to adopt, too."
The elder sister Jessa Duggar also got married two months ago. 23-year-old Jill Duggar tied the knot to 25-year-old Derick Dillard in presence of more than 1,000 family members and friends on June 21.
And Seewald was also present there at the wedding ceremony of Jessa and Derick. And he was also asked regarding when he and Jessa will marry. But he felt no pressure to get married at that time.
"People always ask us when we are getting married," Seewald told PEOPLE at the wedding of Jill Duggar. "We don't feel pressure to get married. If there's any pressure, it's a good kind of pressure."
However, he is planning his wedding now with fiancee Jessa Duggar. And as he is going to become a part of Duggar family soon, Seewald has to face the media attention. And he surely has to be prepared for the spotlight of reality TV.
"The Duggar family gets asked a lot of questions," he said. "A lot of times we take it as a lesson, and we ask other people who are older and wiser than us to share wisdom with us about relationships. It's an important thing."
