Looks like things are moving pretty quickly in the mobile phone market and any new model doesn’t stay for too long in the limelight. We just happen to have the iPhone 5 and its two variants in the form of 5s and 5c and there were already rumors about the upcoming iPhone 6. Something similar happened with the Samsung Galaxy S5 which has just taken its toll on the market and the fire has already been put out by possibilities of Galaxy S6 which would come up against the iPhone 6. Now in an effort to move the inventory to make enough space for the iPhone 6, Walmart has announced a fire sale on the 16GB iPhone 5s and 5c models which can be purchased with a two-year contract.
Walmart recently lowered their prices for the iPhone 5 and now a discount is being put on the same lowered price tags. Following the discount, the cost of a 16GB iPhone 5s has dropped from $99 to $79 whereas the 16GB iPhone 5c models have gone $29 to only 97 cents. The sale pricing goes with a two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or US Cellular.
The event for September 9th has been scheduled for the unveiling of the iPhone 6 which is going to show us both the versions of the phone in the form of a 4.7 inch variant and a 5.5 inch phablet. We are expected to receive the 4.7 inch version after a few days of this announcement but the 5.5 inch version would most likely be subject to delays due to some production problems.
