HTC One (M8) and Nokia Lumia 930 both got drenched in ice-cold water on camera.

The Ice Bucket Challenge fever has taken over the internet like wildfire and of course Samsun wasn’t going to sit back from this shade of popularity. The Samsung Galaxy S5 took the challenge after which the marketing team nominated HTC One (M8) and Nokia Lumia 930 for the challenge. The two devices took the challenge as they got drenched in water on camera. Before we move on, make sure you know that neither the M8, nor the Lumia 930 offers the IP67 certification of the SM-G900.

The surprising outcome of the challenge was all captured on the camera where the two devices sailed through the cold water shower and came out unaffected; both devices were completely functional after this. We are not so taken aback by the survival of the HTC One M8 which is IPx3 splash-resistant and offers metal clad body and has pulled off such watery stints before as well. Nokia on the other hand survived a little by some help from the author of the video who managed to seal its 3.5mm audio jack during the exercise with his finger. This prevented the water from getting inside the device directly.
