Legendary Producers Behind 'Mary Tyler Moore,' 'All in the Family' and 'Dick Van Dyke' talk on Early Fears, Network Clashes
We cant even imagine Carl Reiner having second thoughts about The Dick Van Dyke Show but it is indeed true that he wasn’t even thinking of getting into another show after his previous one had failed so badly and he didn’t think it was a good idea for him to try another one out before he created The Dick Van Dyke Show. While talking about his failed series which were just left in the mid, Reiner said "I don't want to fail twice with the same material.” The script which he initially wrote for the previous failed show was the same that ultimately lead to the success with the Dyke show.

On the other hand, Norman Lear has revealed that the CNS is having some concerns about the All in the Family's groundbreaking material and according to Allan Burns the network literally hated The Mary Tyler Moore Show which was initially featuring the protagonist as divorced. Producers have revealed their details on this one and they have been put together on a video. During a Hollywood Reporter photoshoot, the trio made their comments. This was a job done well as around 24 legendary TV producers had gathered for a classic picture which would always remain in our memories.
