The Nike+ Running App will launch together with the Samsung Gear S in October this year.
Endorsing Samsung's flagship wearable, the Samsung Gear S, Nike is announcing its popular Running App on the yet to be released wearable today. Samsung and Nike have partnered to bring the fitness application on the Gear S. As expected, the pre-loaded app will utilize the Gear S's 3G and Bluetooth connectivity.

With the app, users can decide to leave their smartphones at home while going out for a run or a jog. You can map runs, track progress, and check vital metrics including heart rate, distance, time, and more. Thanks to the Gear S's 3G capability, users can still log into their favorite social networks to post updates.
The Nike+ Running App also includes cool features such as photo-sharing to social media, live audio feedback, Nike+ Challenges, and the option to select music. There's also a built-in music player to keep you motivated. The Nike+ Running App will launch together with the Samsung Gear S in October this year.
