McDonald's Free Coffee Promotion Starts Tomorrow

McDonald's is offering again free coffee for two weeks. The Internet reacts with big cheer?

Yesterday McDonald's started to offer again free coffee. From Sept. 16 through 29, guests can get a free small McCafé coffee during breakfast hours at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the country. This event builds on McDonald’s first-ever Free Coffee Event launched in March, when the company gave away millions of cups of free coffee during the two-week period.

McDonald's Free Coffee promotion is very popular, but also is a great lead into making fun of it. Consumers took to Twitter to post some funny Tweets and also some Tweets containing criticism. One of my favorite tweets is from Dan Hopper. He wrote: "LOVE #FreeCoffee Day because the only thing stopping me from getting my coffee at McDonald's was paying one dollar." Sarcasm at its best.

To celebrate two additional weeks of free coffee, McDonald’s is calling on people across the nation to “sip and tell” their embarrassing pre-coffee moments on social media with @McCafe using the hashtag #SipandTell. Select social media fans with morning mishap stories like missing the last train to work on Monday or leaving the house with mismatched shoes will be surprised by @McCafe with custom gifts and experiences to help start their morning off right.
