His last track before this single was “good kid, m.A.A.d. city”. His new single premiered on the United States radio station Power 106. When we listen to the record we will feel that it is a hit record and some kind of a triumphant anthem which also has a grand introduction.
The track begins with the famous 1973 soul hit and soon after that we will feel that the track goes into a frenzied riff in the chorus. The track goes on descending and we will eventually start to hear horns and a jazz breakdown.
As we are going to be hearing the music in the background, we will be hearing Kendrick Lamar throughout the track. Kendrick gave an interview to Rolling Stone and he said that his new track wouldn’t be featuring cameos with other artists.
He was really excited while giving the interview to Rolling Stone and he said “It’s almost selfish of me and I have so much to say”. Kendrick Lamar was nominated as the best international act on this year’s MOBO awards.
The rapper is going to be featuring with Chris Brown and we can hear him on the new Flying Lotus. And Lamar promised his fans aggression and emotion on “good kid” follow up.
Lamar told Rolling Stone that his new record is going to connect again. "If I can say anything about this record," 27-year-old singer said. "It's that it will connect again."
He said that he left out a lot from good kid and that it could have been a 30 track album. He is thinking of producing new songs as he thinks that there are still some great tracks that are yet to be made.
The rapper has still not decided when to release the name of his new album. And it was clarified that it definitely was not going to be United States of A.L.A.R.M.
