On Saturday night, Officer Karl Romero was keeping an eye on surveillance cameras around the station when he spotted something strange
Police stations would be the perfect settings for crime scenes and dramas but never have we thought about seeing a ghost in a police station. But some strange events happening at one of the prisons in New Mexico will probably change our views. This police station is Espanola, New Mexico, has everything which is required to keep put any intruders; from state-of-the-art gates to specially designed alarms. So it seems that the authorities there have taken good care of the intruding forces but what about ghosts? It certainly isn’t helping in keeping them away.

It all started when Officer Karl Romero was keeping an eye on surveillance cameras around the station on a Saturday night and saw something strange in the sally port, or secured entryway. While talking to the KOAT TV, he said "At first I thought it was a podilla -- a fly or moth -- then I saw the legs ... and it was a human. But not a real human. No, a ghost."
There seems to be a bright blurry white figure on the surveillance video of the incident and it seems to be walking across the gated area at night, according to the Albuquerque Journal. Getting quite spooked out with this, Romero was quick to inform his supervisors about this and only some, like Detective Solomon Romero, agreed a ghost could be the only possible explanation. Romero explained to the station that there was no possibility of a forced entry from any of the entrances of the station and no one can come in or go out of the highly secured area without the gates opening and an alarm sounding.
This weird appearance on the camera isn’t the only thing triggering suspicion. Some other detectives claim that they have heard strange noises and seen unexplained images in the lobby of the building. Romero told KOAT TV that “I do believe in ghosts. I don’t know (what exactly was on the video), but we’ve had some unsolved murders in the area." However he added that the police station is not built on an Indian burial ground.
Though officers might agree that the video shows a ghost figure but paranormal investigator Bryan Bonner of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society isn't so convinced. "That has to be one of the worst videos that I have seen," he told HuffPost by email. "The image appears to have been caused by a small insect (possibly a small spider) crawling on the plastic case that houses the lens. He added, "Because of that they fall back on the same biases as most people and jump the the conclusion that if they cannot explain it it has to be a ghost, when it is very easy to explain."
