PlayStation Plus Free Game Lineup for October Unveiled

Sony released the list of free games in their PlayStation Plus offering for the month of October. Watch the video.

Sony will offer three games for free in October for PlayStation Plus members. The free games include Dust: An Elysian Tail (PS4), Spelunky (PS4) and Pix the Cat (PS Vita).

Additionally there is a special bonus this month, members get DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition (if you want to upgrade to the regular retail version you can for $49.99), which gives them access to 11 tracks, 10 cars and all the game modes.

PlayStation Plus members also will receive the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum as well as Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara and Rainbow Moon.

All of these games will be free for Plus members starting October 7th. Watch the video below to see these titles in action.

PlayStation Plus membership is $49.99 per year or $9.99 per month. You also can take advantage of the 14-day free trial. Microsoft had big success with their Xbox paid service from the beginning. Now Sony tries to catch up with the Sony PlayStation Plus service. Offering free games definitely makes this paid service attractive. Sony is back on track with the PS4 beating Microsoft's effort with the Xbox One. This coming Holiday season both consoles will engage in a dramatic deals battle to gain market share.
