"If I thought we were remaking 'Daredevil', I'd be out there picketing myself."
After it was announced Ben Affleck would be entering the role of Batman in the upcoming 'Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice film, fans and critics of the DC Comics blockbuster movie franchise took to the internet to vent their frustration on the choice of Affleck as the Dark Knight.

Affleck's last role as a superhero was in the dismal 'Daredevil' movie that critics compared to a laughable performance at best. The 'Gone Girl' star isn't worried about doubters though -- he feels that the cast, director, and writers for the upcoming film have a much better handle on the situation -- which in his mind should prevent any disastrous outcomes for the new film.
"Indeed I have regrets about Daredevil," the actor says to NPR in a new interview. "I have regrets about all the movies that I don't think were executed properly. Look, if I thought we were remaking 'Daredevil', I'd be out there picketing myself."
"I'm hard on myself, and I have exacting standards and I want to do excellent work and I don't always succeed, but I think you have to start out with that drive," the "Gone Girl" star continues.
Affleck praised writer CHris Terrio, whom he worked with previously in 'Argo,' and director Zack Snyder -- who directed the first Superman movie 'Man of Steel for his dedication on the current project and his ability to keep the film moving in the right direction.
'Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' is the sequel film to Snyder’s 'Man of Steel,' and already, the film has booked a huge cast in anticipation for the build up to the eventual Justice League movie. Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Clark Kent/Superman, with Ben Affleck portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fischer as Cyborg, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.
'Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice' is due to be released on March 25, 2016.
