The #1 player in fantasy basketball, Kevin Durant, has incurred an injury in his right foot. It will be a month or two before he is back in peak form.
Kevin Durant has suffered a fracture in his right foot and hence will remain out of practice for the next few weeks. Fantasy basketball has just lost one of its best players albeit temporarily. What is not clear at present is whether Kevin’s right foot will have to be operated upon or not.

According to sources, the gap between Durant and the #2 player, LeBron James, is the same as that between Lebron and the #6 player, Anthony Davis. This of course is on a game-wise level. It is indeed a loss and it will be some time before Durant is ready to play in the sport again.
Things look precarious for now though. Russell Westbrook will be leading the NBA in the absence of Durant. Over the next two months or so, he will be among the top five players.

Anthony Morrow and Reggie Jackson are two other players who will get the benefit of the doubt although by sheer default. And Jackson’s arm injury will get healed soon and he will be back in the game in no time.
Even if Durant remains out of practice for a while, it seems likely that he will be back in circulation and doing just fine soon enough. The man is a legend and has the strength and acumen of many men combined.

He is the stuff that dreams are made of. However, for now at least the NBA bird will have to do without one of its wings. The Jones fracture in Durant’s right foot is the sort of injury that has been suffered by a few players before him too.
They all recovered yet not without a little recuperative time in bed. The injury comes as somewhat of a tragedy since everywhere people were hedging their bets on Durant. He was the man of the moment but now it looks like he will need some downtime before he is fit as a fiddle again.
