The phablet has hit the market just ahead of Diwali

It has been a month since the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was taken out from under the covers and now it is being welcomed in India. The phablet has been priced at Rs 58,300 and it has appeared at the perfect moment right in time for Diwali however it will still face tough competition from its biggest rival Apple as its first ever phablet iPhone 6 has appeared on the horizon as well.

For those subscribers who are not active on data packs, Vodafone has an introductory offer in which it is offering up to 2GB of data per month. As for those subscribers who have active data packs, they will get up to 1GB per month for two months. Asim Warsi, VP, mobile and IT, Samsung India commented at the launch saying "The new device exhibits people inspired innovation with its unique combination of an enhanced S Pen, large and vivid display and superior productivity features to provide the most refined Galaxy experience to our customers."

The Note 4 has become the highest end phone in the phablet line of Samsung. The phone equips decent enough specs to compete with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It features a 5.7-inch display the resolution of which has been upgraded from Full HD (1080x1920p) in Note 3 to QHD (1440x2560p). In India only two other phones offer a QHD display; the Oppo Find 7 and LG G3.

This higher resolution is apparently not going to have any effect on the battery life of the Note 4 according to Samsung. In fact the company has claimed that it has boasted the battery life by 7.5%. Moreover, the phone’s 3,220mAh battery features fast-charging technology, so the battery can go from 0% to 50% in 30 minutes. The phone houses inside the 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, which is currently the most powerful mobile chip in the world. There is 3 GB RAM on board and it comes with only one storage options of 32 GB which can be increased to 64 GB through micro SD.
