A reboot version of the 80's hit animated series, Rainbow Brite, is going to get released in November in which Molly Ringwald and Emily Osment are lending their voices.

Rainbow Brite is a famous animated series that was first introduced by Hallmark more than 30 years ago. The series is getting a reboot as announced this Tuesday. Leading the voice cast is Molly Ringwald and Emily Osment.

The series will run three episodes per week starting from November 6th. Emily Osment, the actress/singer/songwriter, will voice Rainbow Brite. She is a girl who has a flair for adventure, and is on a mission to save Rainbowland from dark powers and destruction.

Osment said in a statement that she is honored to be the voice for Rainbow Brite in this show. She is looking forward to bringing back old memories and creating new ones for Rainbow Brite fans.

"Being cast as the voice of Rainbow Brite for the relaunch of this iconic show is truly an honor. I look forward to connecting with the audience, old and new, and going on this exciting adventure together,” Osment said.

With this reboot series, Starlite and Color Kid are also returning. The series is set on what Feeln says, "is a message of optimism, friendship, and creativity."

The Dark Princess is the villain of the series, and will be voiced by Molly Ringwald, famous for the Secret Life of the American Teenager, and The Breakfast Club.

Iris Ichishita, the head of original entertainment of Feeln said that they want to create something that has the essence of the series back then and add a little bit to produce what viewers will appreciate. He is hoping that the audience will have a great reaction, as they did when they first saw it.

"With Rainbow Brite, we believe we have created something that captures the essence of the original series — but with a vision that resonates today,” said Iris Ichishita. "We hope audiences will react with an 'oh my bows!' —just like us."
