The actress Carol Ann Susi who remained behind the scenes on Big Bang Theory passed away at 62 years of age.

Carol Ann Susi was an actress who was the voice behind the character of Mrs. Wolowitz on The Big Bang Theory which appeared on CBS. She died at the age of 62 after a lengthy bout of cancer.

Warner Brothers expressed sorrow at her death and said that The Big Bang Theory had lost a cherished member in the form of Carol Ann Susi who was the humorous voice behind the lady Mrs. Wolowitz.

While she never personally appeared on the scenes, behind the scenes it was Carol Ann Susi who was working her magic via her mellifluous voice. It was a bit of an enigma to see her not making any appearances. But her voice had that rare quality to make the audience laugh with glee.

She had oodles of talent and was a mesmerizing personality. And she was also a very kind and kindred soul. Heartfelt condolences go out to the near and dear ones of this wonderful woman who had not hurt a single soul throughout her life and was a benign influence.

"The Big Bang Theory family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz," Warner Bros. Television and Big Bang Theory producers Chuck Lorre, Steve Molaro and Bill Prady said in a statement (via THR).

"Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show's eight seasons. What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann's immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance. In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly."

Carol Ann Susi will be deeply missed by all her fans and followers. Social media was in a turmoil due to the tragic news of her untimely death. The character of Mrs. Wolowitz, which Carol did the voiceover for with such alacrity and acumen, was rarely seen onscreen and the producer preferred it that way.

One time she did appear and it was for a brief moment only. Until now it is not sure what is to be done about the character now that Carol is no longer with us. But Melissa Rauch does a cool impersonation of the role and she just might get to fill the slot in the final analysis.

Carol Ann had Brooklyn as hr provenance. She shifted to LA in the 70s. After a stint on The Night Stalker, she appeared in Cheers, Doogie Howser M.D., Mad About You, Just Shoot Me, Seinfeld and Six Feet Under. Susi leaves behind her brother Michael Susi.

Kunal Nayyar, her costar on the show, tweeted that his heart was broken and that he would miss her smile. Her spirit would be forever with her well-wishers. A very competent actress has died leaving a vacuum behind in the lives of the people who loved her and respected her.
