The hardware comes with an impressive range of immersive sensors

This might come as a surprise to many since Google hasn’t been so expressive about it but the Project Tango Tablet Development Kit has made its way to the Play Store and the tech enthusiasts couldn’t have been happier. Google’s 3D sensing tablet is the first thing we want to get our hands on because of its awesomeness but the sad news is that it comes with a catch. Though this innovative Oculus Rift-esque head-mounted tablet has been listed on the Play Store, it disappoints many with the "not for sale at this time" tag and we don’t know for how long it is going to be this way.

The Project Tango Tablet Development Kit is a 7 inch tablet and pretty strong on the inside. It is powered by NVIDIA’s new Tegra K1 processor and has 4 GB worth of RAM on board. The internal storage is 128 GB which is every tab user’s dream come true. What more would you ask for when you have this kind of space right there in your tablet. It features all the standard connectivity mechanisms such as Bluetooth, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi and to make things more exciting the hardware has been laden with a couple of sensors which include a motion tracking camera, integrated depth sensing and the usual accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope and ambient light sensor.

The hardware appears to be quite impressive and the goal here is to "give mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion" and we must say that Google has succeeded with it. However, this 3D sensing isn’t going to go easy on your pockets because you would have to shell out $1024 to grab your official device from the Play Store when it becomes available.
