Bill Cosby was one of the best comedians of his generation and in a way still is. But the tragedy of multiple rape allegations that have haunted the comedian may well bring him down from the pedestal upon which he is perched at present.

A Bit of Background
We all know good old Bill Cosby from his days on Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. With Fat Albert declaring his characteristic “Hey, Hey, Hey…” and then the cartoon show starting with interludes of advice by Bill Cosby, the 80s was a Cosby era alright. Cosby later on faced tragedy in the 90s when his son was killed by another man. The man was later on apprehended by the law and put behind bars, but Cosby had lost his son forever and nothing could make up for this tragedy.
And Now What?
The comedian is well into his old age. Yet some unmentionable acts he did years ago have started to haunt him as is evident from the words coming out of the mouths of babes who claim he raped them and sexually assaulted them way back in the 70s. Cosby appeared in the first video rejoinder to the accusations. He said that he didn’t like to answer such allegations. He also said that he didn’t talk about such things. Cosby asked the Associated Press not to mention those off the record comments of his denying any comment on the situation. The result was that AP instead claimed that no such agreement had been signed between the comedian and them and thus it was going to air the interview live for all to view.
Cosby has suffered enough jabs and pokes at his reputation already thanks to the allegations. And now five extra ladies have come on the scene and are putting the blame on him for ruining their day by treating them like prostitutes in the past. Netflix, TV Land and NBC have crossed out Bill from their shows. And his appearance on David Letterman has been scrapped too. What is to become of you, Bill Cosby?
What Exactly Happened Way Back Then?
Cosby was with his wife of several years Camille when the hardest and toughest question was asked of him regarding his scandal. The interview was basically about 50 artworks that Cosby and his family have donated to the Smithsonian Museum. Cosby became visibly upset upon mention of the awkward subject and immediately began using alibis. He avoided any admission of guilt.
The Women who Want Justice (even if it is Delayed)…
Andrea Constand: She claimed that Cosby drugged her and then took advantage of her. She had a roster of 13 other ladies who also say pretty much the same thing.
Barbara Bowman: She says that Cosby did the same to her way back in 1985. And she was just a 17 year old back then.
Joan Tarshis: She was 19 and the year was 1969.
Janice Dickinson: Drugged and raped…so the story goes!
Tamara Green: Sexually assaulted by the man in the 70s.
Therese Serignese: She too was 19 years of age when Cosby (ab)used her in Sin City (Las Vegas).
The actress Stacey Dash however came forward to show support for Bill Cosby. She tweeted that she too had worked for him way back then but he had never been rude to her or perpetarted any sexual pranks on her. She said that he was a gentleman.
Who are we to believe…a lone defender or 13 women who all claim one and the same thing…that he drugged and raped them.
Are there still Any Others with the Same Old Story???
Yes, it appears there definitely are. The wife of Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno, Carla, also claimed that Cosby tried to act all sexually promiscuous with her when she was a teenager at a party. Carla said that the comedian took a swipe at her during the gala and forcibly smooched her on the mouth before she broke free of his grip and ran for dear life. She said that she feels the pain of these poor helpless women who had wound up being deeply hurt by this monster named Cosby. She furthermore said that she was probably the lucky one who managed to escape from the clutches of the comedian.
Where there is Smoke…there is a Barbecue!!!
We have all heard of the saying that where there is smoke, there is fire. But in Cosby’s case it is a virtual barbecue. With over 13 women coming up with sob stories against him, he is the sole voice of so-called reason in a cacophonous chaos of angry accusations. All 13 of the women cannot be lying. It just cannot be that Cosby is the only one who is right while they are all a bunch of dirty liars out for some defamatory fame. Majority after all is authority! Already the tweets and memes have started multiplying on the Internet. And they all point towards the guilt complex the comedian is harboring inside of him. One of the women has even told him indirectly that what he did to her was something about which he was directly answerable before the law. And she has also told him that if he came out with it in the open it would be a big burden off his back. Every criminal who keeps skeletons in his closet needs to come out with it in the end. That was the only means of satisfaction and redemption even if he had to face the long arm of the law.
Currently the number of women dead set against Cosby have reached a phenomenal 15. Now that is what we call strength in numbers.
A Healthy Role Model’s Hypocrisy!
The fact that Cosby has been an American icon and even called a TV Dad speaks volumes about his blatant hypocrisy. He has tried to guide the Black American community all his life by telling them to gain education instead of spending their time in frivolous pursuits. And he has also told the youth of his generation to become ideal dads. But when you find out that he was there womanizing and swinging away in his own case it reflects on his character very badly. Even if he didn’t really rape these 13…oops, 15 woman…the thing that won’t budge is his obvious guilt in matters of going around philandering aimlessly and being generally promiscuous. Why act as a moral agent on the outside when on the inside you are a bad person who just likes to rub up against some females who don’t know any better.
The Real Question: Why didn’t you Say So Before?
The irritating question remains…why didn’t the victims of this psychopathic comedian come up with their allegations at the time when the whole shebang occurred in the first place. Why now that is 20, 30 or 40 years later? Well, the criminal justice system was not so advanced back then. They were young souls who didn’t want their characters ruined via the gutter press. And most of all they were up against a very famous comedian who had the world in the palm of his hand. Had they, these relatively unknown and non-entity chits of girls, taken on the might of Bill Cosby, they would have unleashed all the force of the media against their own beings. Nobody in his right mind would have believed them. And even today it is a fact that they will be dragged through the mud for their late confessions. All this will be made out to be a conspiracy against Bill Cosby by his lawyers and millions of fans.
What is to be Done?

Somewhere in the annals of culture there is a saying: The truth will make you free. It would be better for Cosby to admit that he screwed up and bring down his standards instead of being the pompous laugh bag who refused to say what is on everyone’s lips about him!
