Apart from this, Samsung is gearing up for a keynote speech at the show, where it will likely talk up smart homes and the Internet of Things.
Each year’s CES has something special in store for the anxious fans however this time we might not get something unexpected at the next CES and Kim Hyun-suk, head of Samsung's visual display division, has clearly informed us before hand and his statement has made it crystal clear that we shouldn’t be expecting to be surprised as he says "There will be no surprise shows [at CES].”

However, there is still something to excite all you Samsung fans out there because we might be looking forward to something interesting as Kim has also said that the CES might give a glimpse into the Tizen TV which will most likely be on display at the popular trade show. This wouldn’t be the only interesting on Samsung’s booth at the CES and we never know, this might not even be the major attraction at the event as we have been warned by Kim already.
Kim says, "We've said numerous times that people will get to meet a Tizen TV [that will be commercialized] next year. Everyone will get to see it."
The Tizen TV news is enough for now to make us anxiously look forward to the event because this is certainly a major platform. We have seen the Samsung-designed OS before on the Gear 2 and Gear S. We had also been hearing rumors about the Tizen powered phone but its launch had to be postponed earlier this year, which was to take place in Russia and other rumors sprang up which hinted towards an India launch. The Korean giant has repeatedly been stressing that Tizen is a cross-platform OS and at another trade show in Seoul, Kim revealed that developments for the Tizen powered TV has gone too far now.
Apparently, the open-source platform is going to be the most prominent strength of this Tizen TV. This was all about the Tizen based TV at the CES but apart from this, we are likely to get some insight into phones and tons of other things which will be detailed in Samsung Electronics co-CEO B.K. Yoon’s speech at the event.
