Nielsen ranked the top series, special event telecasts and top sports events across Twitter. Nielsen also revealed the most-Tweeted-about minute in each category.

The Super Bowl is the biggest TV event and also beats all TV shows and events on Twitter hands down. The US Super Bowl audience on Twitter was about 15 million and there have been over 25 million Tweets flooding Twitter. While the audience os only about 1.3 million larger than at the Oscar's, The Super Bowl triggered more than double the number of Tweets.
The most-Tweeted minute of 2014 was 301K Tweets at 10:00 p.m. EST on Feb. 2, 2014 during the Super Bowl.
Games of the FiFA World Cup takes the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spot in the Nielsen Twitter ranking for sports events.
The top ranked TV show in Twitter is The Walking Dead followed by The Bachelor and Pretty Little Liars. The top special TV event on Twitter was the Oscars followed by the Grammys and the MTV Video Music Awards.
