  • The NFL's "Touchdown Club" ticket package costs $20,000.
  • This includes two end-zone seats, a hospitality suite and a four-night hotel stay.
  • Super Bowl XLIX organizers have also lined up several 5k races.

The NFL released a $20,000 ticket package known as the "Touchdown Club" on Dec. 18 which includes two end-zone seats, a hospitality suite and a four-night stay at a luxury hotel.

If you're one of the lucky ones who can afford it, you can purchase a Super Bowl XLIX ticket package worth $20,000.

According to a Dec. 18 update by The Arizona Republic's Peter Corbett, the package is known as the "Touchdown Club" includes two end-zone tickets, a hospitality suite and a four-night stay at a luxury hotel. A solitary ticket in the south end-zone bleachers without parking fees is worth $7,000.

Corbett says the three- or four-night hotel packages are optional. Among the hotels the guests can choose from are the Scottsdale Mariott at McDowell Mountains or the Phoenix Marriott Tempe at the Buttes.

If the fan chooses to avail of the "Touchdown Club" package for three nights, he will pay $16,600. A four-night double occupancy package would cost $17,000, per Corbett. Opting for a premium hotel, double occupancy package costs the full $20,000.

Corbett lists the amenties which await lucky fans:

  • "Tickets to the NFL Experience, the football theme park event.
  • "A gift bag, game program and ticket sleeve and lanyard.
  • "An open bar in the hospitality suite three hours before the game and select food, beer and wine during and 90 minutes after the game.
  • "A performance by former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie with his band 'The Flutie Gang.'
  • "Photos on the field after the game."

Corbett stresses the NFL has yet to release standard ticket prices for Super Bowl XLIX, although they fell within the $500-$2,600 range for last year's big game pitting the Denver Broncos against the eventual winner Seattle Seahawks.

The host team Arizona Cardinals will be allotted five percent of the total tickets (3,500 seats). As for the other NFL teams, they will be given a combined 17.5 percent (12,400 seats). The total capacity of the University of Phoenix Stadium is 71,000, per The Arizona Republic article.

In another development, Super Bowl XLIX organizers have lined up several 5k races from Jan. 1 until Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1. The Arizona Republic's Bob Young reported on Dec. 16 that the 5k on Feb. 1 begins at 9 a.m. PT. He adds, "Cost for the 5k is $20 through Wednesday, Dec. 31, $25 through Jan. 31 and $30 on race day. The kids race is $5.

Corbett also says Lifetime Fitness will stage two 5k runs on Jan. 31 to encourage people to live fit and healthy lifestyles.
