LG announces release date for its G Flex 2
  • Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset
  • 5.5-inch 1080p display
  • 800,000 South Korean Won ($737)

The phone will launch on January 30th in South Korea, followed by releases in other parts of the world including the US

After a fine trend of rumors, we finally saw LG’s G Flex 2 smartphone at the CES event where it was officially announced. In a recent announcement, LG has revealed that their new smartphone is only a few days away as the release date has been set for January 30th for South Korea and release for other parts of the world will follow. The G Flex 2 is going to be selling at the three major carriers of the country with a price tag of 800,000 South Korean Won ($737).

The device is LG’s first one to come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset but this might no longer seem as the phone’s highest selling point because as of late, the chipset has been getting itself into ad publicity particularly after news from Samsung that it decided to go for its own chipset rather than the Snapdragon which is not going to be a part of the upcoming Galaxy S6 now. In light of this, LG has claimed the performance of the chipset is quite satisfactory and it didn’t seem to have any issues with it.

The price of the smartphone has been justified after its specs which include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 2.1 MP front-facing camera, and 13 MP rear camera. As far as the Korean version is concerned, we know that it comes with 32GB of expandable internal memory, and 2GB of RAM. however, the international version of the phone will run with 3 GB of RAM.
