However in the recent hearing the bail has been reduced to $10 million, which can be met by the rap mogul and he can finally come out of jail for the time being, according to TMZ.
During the very same hearing the lawyer of Knight petitioned the court to dismiss the case and the charges against his client but the case stands. The 49 year old Knight has been charged with the murder and attempted murder following an incident which took place in the suburbs of Compton, where he was involved in a feud with Terry Carter and Cle "Boan" Sloan.
Knight ran over Carter with is pickup truck who later died and Sloan suffered many injuries. Knight is also already charged with many counts of assault and an involvement in robbery.
Knight has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges and even fainted during a hearing in court citing health issues as the reason. Matthew Fletcher the lawyer of Knight has shown concern about his client’s health and even claimed Knight ran over Terry accidently in self-defence.
However the prosecutor has shown evidence Knight deliberately ran over Terry after being involved in a fight. Judge Coen did not dismiss the case and remarked it did not look like Knight was fleeing but he was deliberately committing murder. The case stands but the bail has been lowered which will allow Knight to leave jail.
