Amazon recently launched a new advertising ad platform that would help the mobile app developers to target Fire and Android users.

Amazon has just announced that launch of a new advertising platform for mobile app developers. The app developers are now able to distribute their apps using the Amazon’s app store and Google’s Play Store. The platform is called Advertise Your App with Amazon.

This new program has allowed the developers in promoting their apps across Amazon’s network of Fire tablet wakescreens and by putting mobile placements on the Amazon Mobile Ad Network. The company has still not disclosed the installed base of Fire tablet users.

The Amazon ads have potential to reach out to millions of customers. This platform is made for developers so that they can get loyal users for their apps. The developers will try to target that audience which is more likely to make in app purchases.

An independent research showed that for years now Amazon’s app store has made more revenue when compared with Google’s Play Store. So it looks like the developers earn more bucks from the Amazon app store.

Amazon also pointed out that only 37% users on the Google Play Store actually pay for the apps. Whereas 64% users on the Amazon app store pay for the apps. So it makes sense when developers try to target the Amazon app store rather than all of the Android devices.

The bottom line with developers is that they want to make money with their apps. If they get more money from the Amazon app store then they will definitely put their apps there. You will have to keep this thing in your mind that Amazon is not the only ad platform.

Facebook announced at the end of last year that the developers could begin targeting Amazon Fire tablet users with Facebook Install Ads. Whereas the Amazon has an advantage because its ads will appear right on the Fire tablet’s wakescreen. The wakescreen ads are a bit harder to ignore as compared to Facebook’s News Feed ads. So it looks like the developers will try to acquire Fire tablet users.
