Charlize Theron describes Mad Max: Fury Road as an incredibly Feminist action film!
Charlize Theron plays the role of Imperator Furiosa in the latest installment of the Mad Max film and has described the entire film as a feminist action film. The character of Furiosa is a strong one in the film and critics are already praising Theron’s performance, while some are even hinting at an Oscar nomination. Theron seems to be the real star of Miller's post-apocalyptic sci-fi film Mad Max.

Furiosa has been described as a tough War rig driver and an amputee who hasn’t lost her Warrior instinct by the critics. Theron agrees with the critics and revealed how the character did not have a female warrior agenda but her role evolved into the persona by itself, while the director George just wanted to discover the truth about the character in the film.
According to Theron, the film ended up being a feminist action film as a result of Furiosa’s evolution and she loves idea occurred unintentionally. Theron also shared how the film truthfully shows the empowerment and tenacity of women.
On Thursday Mad Max: Fury Road will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Theron also commented on the lack of female directed films in the Cannes Film Festival selection, as only two films have been chosen made by women. Theron believes it’s not only in the film industry but the problem is the perception of the society and equal pay is an issue which should have been resolved a long time ago.

Theron also revealed details on how hard it was to film the Mad Max film as she had a three month old son. Theron would feed her son at night and also train and shoot for the film Mad Max at the same time which was hectic.
