The three couples were: Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker and last but not least…Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Each one chose a previous number which they performed with zest. They also engaged in a freestyle session which wowed the crowd.
The hours and hours of input was now showing in their swift moves and acrobatically choreographed swinging styles. Almost all except one got perfect 40s as the judges showered and heaped praise upon praise on the contestants. It was clearly a case of neck to neck competition.
Galloway and Burgess sashayed to the Argentine Tango. There was a minor glitch in a lift but on the whole it all went smooth as silk. As for their freestyle rendition, it was flawless. So that covered the previous fault that had mired their performance.
As for Riker Lynch and Allison Holker, they redid the Paso Doble. This of course was the original from Pirates of the Caribbean. It was utter harmony in motion. And for the freestyle routine, it was a hip hop medley that made the mare go.
Meanwhile, Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy danced the foxtrot with passion and gusto. Willis sobbed a couple of times in the routine since it was such emotional stuff. Her mom and dad Demi Moore and Bruce Willis looked on from the audience with smiles on their faces. The judges termed the performance absolutely charming and on top of the world.
As for the freestyle setup, it was based on Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and was very poignant and full of tinges of class and creativity. Both Willis and Chmerkovskiy did their own thing although in synch. And they ended up being given the finest accolades by the judges.
Riker’s costume which was of Johnny Depp’s character titled Captain Jack Sparrow made him look pretty dashing and slightly evil too. As for Rumer, her dance was carefully coordinated with her partner and went like a breeze.
At one point, both of Rumer’s parents had tears in their eyes upon seeing their daughter as a grown up woman who could handle the world on her own and carry herself so well on the show.
