The "Pitch Perfect" actress is fibbing about age, name and background, claims Australia's weekly
Actress Rebel Wilson is at the center of controversy right now after Australia’s “Woman’s Day” claimed that the “Pitch Perfect” actress is lying about her age and she is actually 35, not 29 as she had mentioned herself.

The records filed with Australian Securities and Investment Commission also confirm that Rebel was born on March 2, 1980 which is way different from what she has been claiming (February 3, 1986). Rebel is six year older than her mentioned age, according to the records.
Another shocking fact is that her actual name is not Rebel Wilson, it is Melanie Elizabeth Bownds. The actress said in an interview before that her real name is Rebel Wilson but she used to have names Melanie and Elizabeth at the school.
Is it all Rebel is fibbing about? No, certainly not. Her background is also bit vague. It is true that she was raised by professional dog breeding parents but she did not exactly grow up “in the ghetto” as she told Ellen DeGeneres in a previous interview. Records show that Rebel went on to study top ranked Tara Anglican School and her old classmates say that had a “very normal upper-middle class upbringing.”
Rebel took all the controversy very lightly and responded in a tweet with a very humorous touch “OMG, I’m actually a 100 year old mermaid formerly known as “CC Chalice,” Rebel posted. “Okay but all jokes aside now…my real name is Fat Patricia X.”
