In a June 1 interview with Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher, retired point guard Steve Nash said Stephen Curry is "the greatest there's ever been" in terms of shooting the basketball.
In Steve Nash's eyes, Golden State Warriors point guard and 2014-15 NBA MVP Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the league.

This is what Nash said in an exclusive interview with Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher on June 1:
"The only pause I have is from fear of being ignorant. Am I missing someone? Does he need to play longer or do it longer? Does he have to do it in the playoffs more years? But my first reaction is, 'Why not?'
"He's as good as anyone I can think of on every level -- pure shooting, array of shots, percentage, getting hot, plays to the end -- he checks all the boxes.
"He's probably going to shoot a lower percentage than me his whole career because he's going to take more shots and he should. It's just a difference in mentality. I would shoot a higher percentage than Steph because I was much more conservative.
"I would try to shoot as high a percentage as possible to save shots for my teammates and then shoot more in the fourth quarter. I had coaches tell me I was hurting our team at times by trying to set up my teammates, but I always thought I got it back by how I made them feel and incorporated them into the offensive scheme and the chemistry of the team.
"He's capable of that, but he's more inclined to score. There are things he can do that I can't. He's such a beautiful shooter with such an array of shots and such a quick release, you wouldn't want to take that away from him at all.
"Steph takes it to another level. I was able to do it going left and right, and we can both do it at speed, but I was always trying to get to the three-point line. He can do it from deeper and, frankly, I never took a step-back.
"He has no trouble taking a step-back and making it. You add that to all the other shots. It could be a clincher in this game of deciding who's the best.
"Consistency. Can someone consistently make shots, night in and night out, year after year? That's the true mark of a player. You could break it down a lot of ways, but that's the bottom line. How rare are off nights?
"There are certain guys, they shoot the ball, you always think it's going in. Steph is able to seamlessly get his feet down, gather his weight between his feet and shoot it in rhythm as if he'd just been standing there, caught it and shot it.
"Truly, from the eye test, he's the greatest there's ever been."
For his part, Curry answered several questions from the media on Monday, per CSN Bay Area.
On his daughter Riley's increasing popularity, Curry had this to say:
"In the Bay Area for sure, because when we go out now, they're all asking where she's at. We went to Toys 'R' Us the other day, and little girls are asking their dad, 'Can they talk to Riley?' Because they saw her on TV and all that kind of stuff. So it's fun.
"Riley has no idea what's going on, so we like it like that. Keep letting her be a fun little girl growing up."
Reporters then asked Curry how his wife handle having two stars -- he and Riley -- at home, per CSN Bay Area:
"It's fun. We all kind of laugh and joke about it. You scroll through the TV and you might see something pop up, or see Riley yawning in my lap at the podium. Of I'll see Ayesha doing her cooking segments.
"Just a lot of back and forth going on, and joking and poking at each other. It's a fun time. You want to enjoy it and appreciate the personalities I got in my family."
In another development, a June 2 press release on the Warriors' official website says shooting guard Klay Thompson has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Thompson suffered a concussion during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets. He completed the league's concussion protocol on Tuesday, per Warriors.com.
"I feel great, honestly," Thompson told The San Jose Mercury News' Diamond Leung on June 2. "The past few days I feel like I've gotten my wind back."
