Rapper YG became a target of gunshots on Friday morning during his visit to a recording studio in Los Angeles.

YG, whose original name is Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson, was reportedly “shot three times in the hip” outside 3450 Cahuenga Boulevard in Studio City in a shooting incident which took place early in the Friday morning.
Rapper show went into the car and one of his entourage drove him to a nearby hospital where he immediately received medical treatment. Police was called about 1:45 a.m., reporting about an unidenitfied person who sustained wounds after multiple shots were fired at him. When police arrived and attempted to question about the incident, the victim, who was later recognized as rapper YG, behaved improperly and was “very uncooperative”, according to the police. “The victim is not offering any information. Nor is anyone who drove him there.”
At the scene of shooting, multiple shell casings and blood was found on the sidewalk, police report. The rappers manager told TMZ, that his injuries are not too serious and he’s doing fine. “YG is fine. Shot three times but nothing life threatening.” The manager said. The suspect involded in the shooting is still unidentified and no arrest has been made following the incident.

The 25-year old YG is a California based rapper who is best known for his single “Toot It and Boot It” and “My Nigga”, featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan. The latter one peaked at number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was the highest charting song of his career to date. He also received five 2014 BET Hip Hop Award nominations for the same song and went on to win two awards in Track of the Year and Best Collabo, Duo or Group category. YG’s debut album “My Krazy Life” was released on March 18, 2014 and received critical acclaim.
