Janet Jackson recently announced her return to stage performance in her ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ consisting of 36 shows around the globe.

On Monday the 15th of June Janet Jackson announced she will be returning to stage performances after a four year long break. Janet hasn’t performed since her 2011 tour ‘Number Ones, Up Close and Personal’.

Janet Jackson had been dropping hints regularly she might be returning to the stage but confirmed the news through her twitter handle on Monday. Janet tweeted the news of her tour which was filled with excitement and even shared clips from rehearsals for the selection of dancers for the concert.

The world tour is entitled ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ and will start in Vancouver on the 31st of August 2015 and will consist of 36 total live shows. The full details of her concert schedules and ticket bookings are available on the official website of JanetJackson.com. The tour will cover places such as Canada, Miami, Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville among others but will eventually wrap up in Hawaii by November 2015.

American Express Card members can purchase tickets for select shows before the general public beginning Monday, June 15 at 10:00 a.m. through Friday, June 19 at 10:00 pm.

“American Express is thrilled to partner with an iconic artist like Janet Jackson on the UNBREAKABLE WORLD TOUR and bring our Card Members an opportunity to purchase tickets before the general on-sale date,” said Walter Frye, V.P., American Express Entertainment. “Adding Janet to our industry-leading ticketing partnerships is rooted in our mission to serve our Card Members’ deep passion for music.”

The 49 years old singer and the little sister of Michael Jackson previously took a four year hiatus from travelling the globe and stage performances to focus on her personal life. The hiatus came after 33 years of constant working on albums and tours. While out of the spotlight Janet Jackson even got married to businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2013, but apparently the singer is bent on making a comeback.

Janet Jackson also revealed she will be releasing a new album after seven long years on the 3rd of June. The album will be released in collaboration with Rhythm Nation Records/BMG and the concert will also help in highlighting the release of Janet’s new album.
