Beverly Hills, 90210 Unauthorized Movie in the Works at Lifetime
  • Lifetime takes fans back to the 90’s hit teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210

Lifetime is revisiting the world of Beverly Hills, 90210 after tackling Save by the Bell and Full House and will explore the ups and downs of the show.

Beverly Hills, 90210 was a 90s phenomenon. It ran for 10 seasons on Fox and propelled the network as well as the careers of its main cast; Jason Priestley, Luke Perry, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green and Shannen Doherty.

The show is in Lifetime’s revival of various show and it comes after Save by the Bell and Full House Remake. The project will show the roller coaster ride of the teen soap's first four seasons, particularly the drama between cast members and producers both on and off-set.

The movie will also shed light on the show's several near-cancelations and its subsequent rise to ratings hit and pop culture phenomenon, according to THR.

Jeff Roda will pen the script and directed by Vanessa Parise. Peter M. Green and Howard Braunstein will be the executive producers and Christian Bruyere will produce.

The Saved by the Bell project having already bombed on Labor Day last year, the Full House is still on track and so is the 90210 project.

This is not the first time 90210 has been retackled. CW did a modern version of the show with Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty reprising their roles alongwith a younger cast featuring Anne Lynn McCord, Shenae Grimes, Jesica Stroup, Jessica Lowndes, Tristan Wilds and Michael Steger.

The show’s airdate has not been announced yet.
