New report out of Germany puts Comcast on top of suitors for T-Mobile USA take-over.

German Telekom is trying again to sell T-Mobile. Flamboyant T-Mobile CEO John Legere grew customers to 39 million, but the growth comes at a cost. German Telekom has tried since years to get rid of T-Mobile USA. Now they actually are in a good position for a sale. German Manager Magazin reports that Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) has interest in T-Mobile and that the German Telekom is in favor of Comcast.

Earlier reports of Dish Network eying a T-Mobile takeover have surfaced. The new report says though that Telekom favors Comcast over Dish because of its financial prowess. The Dish deal would be a merger. Comcast could also throw some cash at the German Telekom.

Comcast wants to expand, but has a hard time finding a deal. in April they canceled buying Time Warner Cable for $45 billion because of regulatory concerns.

T-Mobile (NYSE:TMUS) is still on a growth pass. In Q1 the 4th largest US carrier added 1.8 million customers resulting in a total of 56.8 million customers. The service revenue grows the fastest in the industry with 9%. T-Mobile has a market cap of $32.3 Billion. If an acquisition by Comcast will happen it will be a huge deal.
