Initially, users were able to create backups on Google drive via an older version of WhatsApp, specifically the 2.12.44 version. However, it was later removed in the subsequent updates. Now it appears like the same feature is ready to make its way back to WhatsApp in the form of a stable version.

A new file has also been spotted that refers to Bluetooth. This might be an indication that users will get to experience sharing of WhatsApp messages via Bluetooth. The new WhatsApp 2.12.126 version is still in the beta phase, meaning we can’t download it directly via Google Store.
