June 30 marks the day when we will witness the latest and greatest flagship from Meizu
Based on countless rumors in the past, all of which linked the official unveiling date for the all new Meizu MX5 to be June 30, it seems like that is indeed true. The beginning of May marked the first instance of the fact that June 30 might witness a new flagship for Meizu and it is all but confirmed now, thanks to Meizu sending out press invites for its special event on the same date i.e. June 30.

The invite itself left little to ambiguity. Firstly, the mention of ‘full metal jacket’ clearly refers to Meizu MX 5 getting a metal treatment whereas the ‘born to kill’ appears to be referring to the competition. If past leaks were to be believed, the new Meizu MX5 will feature a 5.5 inch Full HD (1080p) display, a 2.3 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6793 chipset, 3 GB of Ram, a 3150 mAh battery and a 20 MP main camera coupled with a 3 MP front facing camera.

Software wise we will probably witness Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped around Meizu’s very own Flyme OS.
