Apple has put an end to all games and applications bearing the confederate flag logo.
Apple along with many other agencies that want to have a clear conscience have put the kibosh on games and apps that have the confederate flag as a part of their graphics. The confederate flag was the chosen battle symbol of the southern states during the decisive civil war which took place in the past.

Many game developers who had produced excellent games have found to their dismay that their products have been removed from Apple’s repertoire thanks to the confederate flag which was displayed in them. Of course, the games were spitefully built in the light of competition. They were racist to begin with so they deserved this sort of treatment.
The problem is that after the racist shooting of nine Black American individuals at Charleston, South Carolina a few days ago, the climate of the nation has radically changed.
President Obama also took serious notice of the situation and said that the evil will have to be nipped in the bud. Amazon, Walmart, eBay and Sears have also banned any signs of the confederate flag from their stores and services.
However, the execs at Apple were clear on the matter. They have removed any spiteful or competitive portrayal of the confederate flag. If the game portrays it for informative or historical information reasons than it will not ban the game.
Apple told TechCrunch in a statement: “We have removed apps from the App Store that use the Confederate flag in offensive or mean-spirited ways, which is in violation of our guidelines. We are not removing apps that display the Confederate flag for educational or historical uses.”
Thus the ban was not a once-and-for-all thing. It is meant to be selective and will only weed out the really mean and nasty usage of the racist flag within the context of games.
Such games as Gettysburg, Ultimate General, Hunted Cow/Hex Wars Games are out of the question now. And applications such as Southern Pride (Rebel Flag) Wallpaper have been notified of the rejection by Apple.
And this is a good thing. Since the atmosphere is already so tense after the senseless shooting, it only makes sense to ban all signs of racist talk and thinking. A picture is worth a thousand words.

So graphic details that provoke the racist and xenophobic tendencies among the common folks will have to go out the window if America is to be an exemplary melting pot society. The fact that all people are created equal ought to be seen in practice too and not just be empty words that are spouted for their linguistic value.
