For all those who were waiting for OnePlus 2 to be unveiled soon, here is the big announcement! Finally the launch date has been set for the public. One Plus 2 is going to be officially announced on 27th of July.

Earlier a teaser was revealed by OnePlus team which highlighted that its next handset, OnePlus 2 will be released next month. Interestingly this is going to be a one of its kind launching of a new smartphone as OnePlus 2 will be world's first product launch in VR. The company also unveiled its OnePlus Cardboard virtual reality headset for the purpose.

As of now, company has not revealed the details and pricing of the OnePlus Cardboard. The OnePlus Cardboard can easily accommodate devices up to 6 inches in size. It is made from the long-lasting and hard material, which is fast and easy to use and carry. It is also coated with special film that will prevent it from dust, oil and other harmful elements.

Carl Pei, Co-author, OnePlus in an official discussion post titled "OnePlus 2: The World's First Product Launch in VR" itemized that the organization needed to break obstructions with the dispatch in a virtual reality event.

Although much info has not been unveiled, but the company’s management recently confirmed that the upcoming flagship will feature USB Type-C connectivity. Earlier, OnePlus confirmed it would be using v2.1 of Qualcomm's top-end mobile processor, the Snapdragon 810, in its upcoming OnePlus 2 Smartphone.
