Comedian Seth MacFarlane tweets joke about legalizing gay marriage saying people should also be allowed to marry their teddy bears.
Seth MacFarlane the comedian and creator of the hot comedy show ‘Family Guy’ has always played with pushing the envelope. His hit series ‘Family Guy’ was filled with inappropriate and controversial joke and let’s not forget the Oscars where he sang about Hollywood leading ladies rack/ It seems Seth once again decided to test the limit when he posted a funny tweet about his upcoming film ‘Ted 2’ in light of the recent legalization of gay marriages in the US.
Seth tweeted if homosexuals are allowed to get married then what will be next? People will now marry their Teddy Bears? The 41 year old comedian immediately deleted the tweet after realizing some people may not find it funny.
Even though Seth removed the post, some twitter users had already taken a screenshot of the tweet and started sharing it. A users specifically wrote Seth MacFarlane can delete the tweet but they can screen-cap them.
Immediately the screenshot started generating negative comments with users saying Seth was making fun of a long struggling issue, for which many gays have been fighting for a long time. Some users criticized Seth saying today was not about him or his upcoming film ‘Ted 2’ and at least he had the sense to delete the tweet.
While some Twitter users have shown their support for the comedian saying the tweet was meant to be just a joke and it is Seth’s special brand of humor which he is famous for. The tweet was only meant to poke fun at the new legalized gay marriage movement and if some people do not get the joke then it’s their problem.
