Paula Deen Twitter account was adorned by a picture of her and her son posing as Lucille Ball and Ricky Ricardo causing racism ripples across the internet resulting in firing of her social media manager.
Paula Deen is a pet name when it comes to American cooking but lately her stars seem to be in a bad rotation. Hailing from the southern American heritage, there might always be a shadow of racism eclipsing Paula’s thoughts and actions and in a world where everyone has become super sensitive to even a speck of self-expressionism or jab at fun for complexity of different schools of thoughts, even one wrong move could lead to a worldwide worth of humiliation.

That is what supposedly happened to Paula Deen where a picture of Paula and her 45 years old son, Bobby was posted while they posed featuring as Lucille Ball and Ricky Ricardo (Dezi Arnaz) from I Love Lucy. Moreover the picture was captioned; “Lucyyyyyyy! You got a lot of esplainin’ to do”
With a jab on the Spanish accent with the word ‘esplainin’’, Bobby Deen, in his attempt to look like Desi Arnaz is supporting brownish skin darkening make up and a slick back hairdo. Now as far as anyone who saw Arnaz could bet is that the Columbian actor was a s white and fair as the actress he was working with.
To put on make up to make himself look tan, Bobby Deen instigated a racial stigma that Columbians are dark skinned. Added with the supposed Columbian phrase, it was a racial bomb waiting to explode.

The internet imploded on Paula for the racy picture in which her son was said to be inconsiderate and racist meanwhile Paula was backlashed as well on her insensitivity about racial issues. Bad times for Paula Deen.
Paula did some damage control by taking down the picture immediately. She explained that the picture was an old one, taken back in 2011 when the world was not so expressive. She deleted the tweet and also apologized to all the people whose feelings have been hurt by the photo.
Furthermore, the culprit behind posting the photo, her social media manager was also fired. From now on, it would be better if Paula learns to tweet herself.
"Paula Deen's Social Media Manager posted a picture this morning of Paula and Bobby Deen dressed in costume as Lucy and Ricky, from I Love Lucy," her reps said in a statement to PEOPLE. "This photograph is from a Halloween episode of Paula’s Best Dishes that aired in 2011."
