The 75 year old star celebrated his birthday with his wife Barbara Bach at his annual Peace and Love ceremony that was held in Hollywood.
The former Beatle Ringo Starr just turned 75 on Tuesday and he celebrated his birthday with his traditional peace and love salute along with his wife Barbara Bach. The 75 year old Ringo stated that he would still keep on playing the drums no matter what.

The tradition of ‘love and peace’ started 10 years ago when Ringo was asked what he wants for his birthday and he had replied that he wanted everyone in the world to say peace and love on 7th July. Well since then this tradition has been set and since then hasn’t stopped.
Moreover Ringo has since then invited members of the public to join him as well in doing the sign and has also asked his fans to use the hashtag ‘#PeaceandLove’ on social media platforms.
Ringo at the Tuesday birthday celebrations stated that this tradition has no become international and has been growing. He explained that they started off from Chicago and then they went to New York, then several times in LA and one time even in Hamburg.
Apart from all this Ringo was inducted as a solo artist into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April and he is the last of the Beatles to receive the accolade. Ringo stated that he will keep playing as that’s all left to do and he loves to play and so will continue to do so.
At the birthday celebrations Ringo dressed up like a teenager and was wearing Vans with his picture on it saying the Beatles legendary ethos ‘Peace and Love’. The musician was joined by lots of his nearest friends including his wife and former Bond girl Barbara Bach. Ringo had married Barbara back in 1981 and has remained the love if his life.
The Ringo that we see today is a completely different person from what he used to be once. In the eighties his drinking had gotten out of control and he became violent and even started to have blackouts. Ringo had finally listened and sought help.

He revealed that it was because of one particular incident which was when he had trashed his house and Barbara so bad that his staff thought she was dead. Others that were present at the celebration were comedian Richard Lewis, The Eagles Joe Walsh, director David Lynch and American rock and blues musician.
