Dot is the World’s smallest Bluetooth Headset [Update]

Impossibly small. It virtually disappears in your ear. Listen to music anytime.

A California startup is looking for subsidizing through Kickstarter for the "World's smallest Bluetooth headset-Dot" The device apparently measures just 13.8 by 21 mm, weighs only 3.5 g and smashed its humble financing objective goal, just hour into the campaign.

The tiny Dot Bluetooth headset is made of aluminum and polycarbonate and is slated to accompany three distinctive size editions (small, medium and large) for diverse size ears, complete with a compact inductive charger that will give you a chance to completely load up on charge for up to six times while you're out for long time without the battery charging options.

Update 07/14/15:

The Dot Kickstarter campaign was suspended after earning $300,000 in support. Kickstarter did not detail the reasons for the suspension, but apparently the campaign was too successful as the product is already developed and available from a Chinese manufacturer. Special Labs tries now on IndiGoGo. We cannot assess the validity of the product and if its working based on published specs. Proceed on your own risk.

Right now at the working model stage, the headset will purportedly connect with up to eight devices without any delay through the energy saving Bluetooth 4.0 convention. Its designers say it will likewise include a solitary multifunction button that you can tap to answer a phone call or hold to initiate Apple's Siri, given obviously that an iPhone is joined. The creator of Dot, Ivan Kan, wrote on the Kickstarter page."Designed from the ground up, Dot is designed to be minimal yet beautiful.

Constructed of lightweight aluminum and durable polycarbonate materials, Dot blends fashion with function," He further added, “Dot features a tiny, high-quality dynamic driver to generate amazing sound from a compact design. To reduce size, Dot utilizes a space-saving wireless charging instead of a large bulky charging port." Although Dot is not the only device available that is ear-bud sized; but it is the only device with much less price range.

Its kickstarter page already compares it with the other headsets and Dot is cheaper, lighter and has a better battery life. Currently, users can buy Dot Mono on the price of $59, which is available for a limited time period. The suggested retail price for the device is $99.
