Olivia Munn posed for the GH magazine while talking about her new role in X-Men Apocalypse, her therapy, her diet and her friends.
Olivia Munn has made a great name for herself in just a few years. She has been raised in Oklahoma and Tokyo. Her stepfather was stationed in Tokyo when he was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Olivia recently did a photoshoot with GH magazine where she revealed a lot about her family, her friends, her own life and her problems and how she had faced them.

Talking about family, she said that she was the fourth in five siblings. Her brothers, according to her, are much smarter, funnier and more intelligent than she is. She admitted that she is the least witty among them.
She said that she accommodated for that fact by speaking her mind or going straight for the jugular. She said that they all has learned karate while growing up until they were 16 and all of them earned a black belt each.
Olivia then went on to the University of Oklahoma and majored in journalism. She was also a reporter for their basketball team for a while. She knew however that she wanted to act so she headed to Hollywood with an acting guide manual like thousand others that head to Hollywood with the same dreams.
But Olivia’s luck played out and she has been a part of some great movies including Iron Man 2 and Magic Mike. She will also be appearing in the sequel of Zoolander and X-Men: Apocalypse in the upcoming year.
Olivia Munn said that her role as Psylocke in the X-Men movie has been really tough especially the getting fit part. X-Men has been a platform of some terrifically fit specimen like Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Famke Jansen, Halle Berry, James Marsden etc. so she had a very high bar to reach.
Especially with her problems with OCD and trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder). She revealed that all her problems regarding her fitness and control over her disorder had been dealt with by her therapist.
She told him that she did not work out and he said that she had to work out as it will help her control her anxiety and depression. He hypnotized Olivia and she emphasizes that it worked. She was hypnotized on Friday and she was working out regularly by Monday. She said that it feels great to work out everyday and it also helped her get in shape for her role.
Olivia Munn said that even with the workout, what she could not still control is her eating habits. She eats a lot of junk food and could really control her splurges. She said that her friends were however a great support and an inspiration for her.

For her, seeing them do what they wanted was inspiring for her and even her boyfriend Aaron was also an inspiration for her fitness mantra. She said that in the times when she needed support, her pup Chance was always there to support her and snuggle and she loves him to death.
