NBC has been searching for a new host for ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ since firing Trump.
In an election filing on Wednesday Donald Trump revealed NBC had paid him an excessive amount of more than $213 million. The payments were made throughout the 14 seasons of the reality show competition ‘The Apprentice’. The real estate mogul and Republican Presidential candidate provided the information to the Federal Election commission.

The exact amount detailed by Trump is $213,606,575, while NBC has not commented on the news. NBC had previously cut ties with Trump in late June when the presidential candidate made offensive remarks about the Mexican people.
NBC also stopped the viewership of the Miss USA Beauty pageant saying the network would not broadcast the pageant anymore after Trump called Mexican immigrants ‘Rapists’ and ‘Drug dealers’. Univision the Spanish broadcaster also cut ties with the Miss USA pageant following the comments and the Miss USA pageant for 2015 aired on the cable network Reelz.
If Trump is right NBC more than likely overpaid Trump because the sum paid is more than even the revenue of the show. In recent years mainly the 2014-2015 season NBC only secured a small amount of $64,900 for a 30 second advertisement spot on the reality show ‘The Apprentice’.
On the other hand according to Trump he earned a whopping $362 million in 2014 after cutting dividends, interest, capital gains, rents and royalties, reported BH.
NBC has been looking for a new host on the show ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ and according to sources Magic Johnson is on the NBC wish-list. The source further revealed NBC wants a successful minority businessperson who is active in inner cities as the next host on their show but there have been no negotiations yet.
