Currently, Bush Senior is in a stage of convalescence and he will be his usual active self once again with the passage of time. "We are not expecting a long stay," his spokesman Jim McGrath told CNN.
Bush Senior is 91 years old and celebrated being a nonagenarian during the previous month of this year. He is at present wearing a neck brace to stabilize his fractured vertebrae and will not be staying for long in the hospital. A few years ago he divulged the fact that he had a Parkinsonian ailment.
Last year, he was in and out of the hospital for wheezing and an asthmatic condition. Three years back he ran afoul of bronchitis and had to be sent to a medical establishment for a quick and speedy cure.
Bush played a key role during the First Gulf War as the spearheading agent behind the attack of the allied forces on Saddam Hussein’s Iraqi army. Saddam had occupied oil-rich Kuwait after a brief blitzkrieg of sorts.
After the deadline of the ultimatum handed to Saddam was over, the allies started the war against Iraq in which Saddam’s forces were defeated. But Saddam’s dictatorial rule was left intact since otherwise a fundamentalist regime would have filled the vacuum left behind by his toppling.
Today Saddam Hussein is no more (he was hanged a few years ago). However, a great enemy of the West and all it stands for in the form of ISIS has emerged from the aftermath of Osama Bin Laden’s Al-Qaeda and Bush Junior’s asinine mistakes in Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11.
Bush Senior is in his senesence and his son Dubya has long since parted ways with his two terms as president. But the elder Bush still likes to keep a watchful eye over his family’s political involvement in the corrdiors of government extant in the nation.
